Chouette step-by-step make-up tutorial

Step1

Drawing feathers

Using jumbo pencils, start by drawing the owl's first feathers on the forehead. Take a purple jumbo pencil and draw two symmetrical, V-shaped lines starting from between the eyebrows and working up towards the top of the forehead. Then use a pink jumbo pencil to draw two parallel stripes on either side of the purple lines. Then add the blue stripes on the outside of the pinks, again starting from the center of the face towards the temples. This creates the effect of colored feathers fanning out across the forehead. To finish off the feathering, draw two pink and purple triangular shapes above each eyebrow, following the lines drawn earlier. Color the eyelids with the pink jumbo pencil.

Step2

Drawing the beak

Using a thin black pencil, draw the owl's beak on the nose and color the inside. Take a white pencil and draw a line on the inside to give it a little relief.

Step3

Drawing flowers

Take a thin pink pencil and draw a five-petal flower in the middle of the forehead. Draw the same flower, with a thin yellow pencil, at the end of both eyebrows. Using the pink pencil, draw a pink flower next to the yellow flowers. Take a purple jumbo pencil and stroke over the ends of the flower petals. Take an orange jumbo pencil and do the same on the yellow flower petals.

Take a fine brush. Moisten it and pick up some white blush. Draw three small white dots inside the flowers to form the pistil. Add pink flower ornaments under the eyes.

Finalize makeup

Take a thin blue pencil and add two petals to the two yellow flowers and the pink flower on the forehead. Take a thin yellow pencil and complete the petals on the pink flower on the forehead. Moisten a fine brush and pick up some white blush. Finish the make-up by drawing ornaments on the two yellow flowers and the one on the forehead. Finally, draw three vertical dots on the chin and between the flowers.
